SHAHI DAAL RECIPE | Pakistani Food Recipes

Shahi Daal is very famous dish of Peshawar. Most of the Punjabis like to eat this Shahi Daal Its quite simple recipe but very rich in taste. With less spices you can create it. By following our recipe you will get 100% same taste. For this we need


oil 1 cup

onion 2-3

cumin 1 tbsp

ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp

green chillies 2-3

tomato puree 1cup

red chilli powder 1tsp

corriander powder 1tbsp

salt to taste

turmeric powder ¼ tsp

roasted crushed cumin 1tsp

black papper. ½ tbsp


chicken boiled

boiled maash ki daal ½ kg


boiled egg


take 1 cup oil in a pan and add onion in it. After the onion becomes pink in colour add cumin and mix it. Then add ginger garlic paste and mix it. Then add green chillies and ix it an cover it for 2 minutes. The flame will be medium. When onion becomes brown add tomato puree in it. And mix it well then add red chilli powder, salt, coriander powder, turmeric, roasted crushed cumin, black pepper and mix it. Now add coriander. And mix it. Now add chicken. Chicken is boiled with salt and black pepper. After boiling debone the chicken. then add boiled mash ki daal. And fry until water evaporate. After 10 minutes add capsicum and boiled eggs. And mix it well. Ready to serve. Shahi daal is ready Serve with naan.
